New Orleans Jazz Fest 2011 set list

Bon Jovi put on a successful show at Jazz Fest last night, despite the bittersweet absence of Richie. I have NOT been a fan of the reviews I've read so far, especially one where the author couldn't stop himself from reiterating how Richie "was not missed" and his absence didn't mean anything because he was well replaced.

True, his stand-in Phil "X" Xenidis is perhaps a capable guitarist and helped fill in Richie's lead music role...but for purposes of rhythm only. I know I speak for nearly the entire Bon Jovi world when I say, Richie, you WERE missed. Sorely.

I know which article you refer too...journalists like that are morons. Utter morons. Richie WAS missed, but the substitude did what he was suppose to do. JBJ chose him and he was good but he didn't match and was never intended to match Richie.

And IMO the setlist for this show was some sort of a declaration of support for their "Brother Richie" a dedication and wishing he'll get well soon so he can come back. I may be biased there but that's how I took this. That or Jon's a machosist LOL!
