The Scorpions would still kick his ass?
Maybe they would, I don't know, but I'm afraid that sounding out of touch is already kicking his ass; also kicking his ass- plenty of other great bands that are no where near as textbook-obnoxious-hair-rock as The Scorpions became in the 80s, and that he therefore hasn't a clue about.
Good point...but I think he meant that more as a way to express that he's always respected them and thought they were a fantastic band. After the ass-kicking part he did say something like "one of the greatest rock n' roll bands" or something. I'm sure he understands the Scorpions are not chart-toppers anymore and don't dominate the music scene today - moreover, where are they? You know? I think it was just a casual comment. :)
Plus, the Scorpions are a German band, and this was Munich. Probably a lot of lip service, too! ;) lol
What an AMAZING set list!! Lucky people to have over 3 hours with them :)
