Sooo...the big day is finally here. And all I have to say is this:
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's what I've been doing since last night anyway...I am so goddamn excited it's not even funny. I have been tweeting it, Facebooking it, yelling it, screaming it, bugging my roommates about it, bugging my coworkers about it, bugging my family about it...yes, I'm one excited and raring to go Bon Jovi fan. My camera is charged, my ear plugs are packed, and my heart is soaring.
I just absolutely love this time - tour's in full swing, fans are flocking from all around, getting ready and going out, drinks and tons of coffee for the long nights, dinner beforehand, meeting friends and buying merchandise, finding your seat, politely listening to the opening band, bla bla bl...and then finally, when the lights go down, when the crowd revs up, when the screaming becomes so loud you can't hear a thing but roaring in your eardrums, and then the band walks out and the music starts...you're just gone. For the next two and a half hours, there is nothing but Bon Jovi, you, and soul-consuming music. I LOVE IT.
So I'm headed off toward that beautiful euphoria tonight - I got myself a double night date with Bon Jovi, y'all. This is round one...and the best part is, I get to do it all over again 24 hours later.
Oh, and I've been tweeting requests to the band for Captain Crash (never heard it live, can you believe that?!) and Satellite (which I am willing to bet all in my savings account that they will never play, but a girl's gotta try), so if either of those come up, I'm going to FREAK.
That said, don't forget to follow me on Twitter (if you don't already) as I'll be tweeting the setlist and details from the show. Oh, and I believe tonight's the night I am right in front of the catwalk, so if the tweets stop coming sometime after Jon walks out, I'm presumably on the floor, passed out in HRH heaven.
"See you" tonight, from the show! WEEEEEE!!

Phoenix, AZ set list...
EDITED: setlist added_____________________________________
I feel so greedy complaining about it, but I just feel like - ONCE AGAIN - we've been "lied" to. Ok, that's a harsh word, but they got us all jazzed up on surprises and oldies and some full album shows and the like...and so far it's the same damn set list as always!
So, they open with Blood On Blood. That's awesome...for one or two shows. Don't make it the norm, then it's not a surprise by the 3rd show! And PLEASE, PLEASE do not give us identical set lists in multi-night venues.
Sorry, I just feel like for the dough we're shelling out this time around, and with all the promise from the guys' mouths themselves, and laying the foundation for all of that with the recent history of unfulfilled promises in so much of all things a la Jovi, we're just going to become a bunch of jaded, immune fans.
Come on, boys, the tour is young yet. Inject some EXCITEMENT! Have fun with your music and flaunt it on stage - you know damn well you can be best show on earth, so PROVE it.
See you on Friday! (And if you read this and take it to heart, I would absolutely love to hear Captain Crash and Satellite - yes, from the box set - on one of Anaheim's nights. Thanks much, love ya!)

Random rant about ignorant fans
This is simply a rant, because I found it in my Google alerts and it pissed me off.
This came up tonight in my daily Bon Jovi Google alert: http://www.eff36459.blogspot.com/2010/02/bon-jovi-revisited.html
First off, the girl is clearly clueless when it comes to Bon Jovi - she admits herself that she doesn't like them much, but her sister loves them, that they've never had quite the impact on her as Celine Dion (I personally found that hysterical, lol), and that one of the only good things about them is Jon's sexy good looks.
First off, my toes curl when I hear people say that - call it my devout love and deep admiration for everything that band does, as well as everything Jon is BESIDES a good looking man (father, husband, amazing philanthropist, musician, business manager, come on!) It just really tweaks me when women ONLY like Bon Jovi for Jon, or ONLY want to meet them/see them/get close to them to get in his pants or grope him. (And please don't think I'm outing everyone who thinks he's good looking or who fawns over him, because I think the man's damn sexy myself - have you SEEN my reactions to him in concert? LOL. I just know, unlike quite a few "fans" out there, that there is FAR more beneath that polished exterior.)
So, with that said, the other thing I cannot STAND is when people don't take the time to do their research and not allow the media to spoon-feed them. This girl in her post describes Richie as "an alcoholic and slightly creepy."
REALLY?
My jaw dropped when I read that, and then my poor roommate had to endure a 10-minute rant about how completely NOT true this is. Doesn't Richie's rehab and pulling out of that mess with liquor count for ANYTHING? Doesn't the fact that it was a short stint, that he himself sought help, and that he pulled himself together mean ANYTHING? He can hardly be labeled an alcoholic, come on. When you compare him to countless other rock stars who have never made it this far (or have, and are struggling to keep standing, like Aerosmith members for instance) it's simply not fair to accuse him of that. And creepy? I had to laugh at that - everything I have EVER heard about the man completely negates the definition of "creepy." Jon himself describes him as the one who lights up the room when he walks in - full of laughter, mischief, and the biggest heart you've ever seen. So all I can think of is that this chick met him in person (which I almost hope she did, because otherwise she has NO ground to stand on) - in which case, I'm extremely curious to know what he did or said to come across as creepy.
Wow, this was probably over-doing it as far as a reaction to a simple few lines in this poor girl's blog, huh? lol But it just set me off on related topics, and gave me an outlet to share my frustrations and one of my biggest annoyances: ignorance. Seriously, DON'T TALK unless you KNOW what you're talking about.
Sorry, hope you don't mind this rant. But I'm sure many of you feel the same way, eh?

Jon's Seattle appetizer
LMFAO this absolutely cracked me up.
Jon just posted this on Twitter (or at least, someone w/ Bon Jovi did lol)
That is disgusting. LOL but Jon's smirk just made my heart melt. I'm pathetic.
